Lesson 1

Hardware & Windows Navigation


Handouts:

In Lesson 1, students are introduced to the Computer. Students briefly learn the difference between hardware and software but become most familiar with the computer hardware that they will be using throughout the course. Students will learn how to use the mouse and the keyboard, and they will learn the basic features of the Desktop and Windows of a computer. For the second half of class, students get to practice using Windows and its different tools with a fun program called Paint.
