Lesson 5
Handouts:
In Lesson 5, students learn the different types of storage. Students learn how to save files on the computer and they also learn how to save externally, using a Flash Drive. The difference between "Save" and "Save As" is introduced and students are taught to remember the two most important components when saving any type of file: Naming the file and saving it to a certain Location. Once we've learned how to save different types of files, students learn how to create, name or rename, and delete folders. Students then learn how to organize and save their files in different folders in order to improve their file management skills. If there is time at the end of class, email is briefly introduced to the class.
